Can you listen to a cereal?

Can you? Here’s a clue - we’re not talking “Snap, Crackle and Pop!” - we’re thinking about homophones…

A serial is a slightly old-fashioned term for a drama that continues over several episodes, think Dr Who, Fallout, The Last of Us, or in this case, probably long-running popular radio soap opera, The Archers.

Cereal and serial sound identical, but have different spellings and meanings, like 'to, too and two' or 'there, their and they're'. Can you and your child think of any other homophones? Are there any that they struggle with? Look out for future posts with more homophones, tips and tricks!
